Ok so `MistressWit challenged us to step out of the box and create something we don't normally do....so yeah here it is,
"Space, to boldy go where I have never gone (artistically!) before"
yeah, yeah I know... live there mentally... ha ha ha
Ok..so for real how I stepped out of the box (I didn't know I was in it actually)
No deep humor, emotion or message conveyed, it's just a pretty.
Cinema4d tech... used volumetric and visible spotlights. Built everything within a globe, textured it all the stars etc. are lights or refraction off the inside of the globe...spotlights pointing at it etc. Caustics. The galaxies are not photochopped....it was all texture noise and lights to put it simply. Ok for the other new try...uhm modelling...nurbs and matrix extrude. No imports.
PS7 - extra glow on edge of planet and the UFO trails, frame and text EDIT* Followed comment critiques...fixed some lighting...and added some emboss to the planet...
I agree! Nooooooooo not a bad thing at all, they were meant to be cute. I don't normally do anything space wise, and I tried to keep it out of photoshop as much as possible lol. I 've learned alot and gotten some really great critique for the next venture into to space. Thank you for your comments
really like this
well done you
